Instituto Cabanga wants everyone to be able to read, hear and move through this site — with a mouse, with the keyboard alone, with a screen reader, with the page zoomed in, or in Brazilian Sign Language.

What this site offers

  • An accessibility panel on every page: larger text, high contrast, underlined links and reduced motion.
  • Translation into Brazilian Sign Language through VLibras, the free public translator of the Brazilian federal government.
  • Full keyboard navigation, with a focus ring that is always visible and a shortcut straight to the content.
  • Image descriptions and semantic markup, for people using a screen reader.
  • Colour contrast checked, and text that stays readable when zoomed to 200%.
  • The whole site in six languages.
